A letter to the creators of “Happy Feet”

Dear creators of “Happy Feet”

I am two and a half minutes into your movie and I have one blazing concern that I feel I must discuss with you.

WHY is it necessary to jam segments of 14 different songs into the first 2 minutes of your movie? If this was something that had to be done, could you have at least chosen songs that sound somewhat similar to each other? Don’t get me wrong, I am a sucker for cute cartoon movies, I love music, and I am a GRADE A pop culture nerd, but I feel as though you could have toned it down just a tad. You really don’t need to beat me over the head with the pop culture. I get it. You’re hip.

I’d hate to have to miss the well intentioned message of this movie, due to the fact that I can’t stand to hear some bastardized mash-up of Prince, Elvis and Grandmaster Flash.

Thank you,

Ernie-bot
