A letter to the Creators of The Clapper

Dear Creative Team Behind the Genius that is the Clapper,

So, over the years you have developed various forms of your original Clapper product.  Now I’m recently seeing ads for your new Clapper Plus, which comes with a remote control.

OK, I understand the need for a remote…if your sitting down, feeding your baby like that uber-bitch in your commercial, then you may want to use the remote.  But my question for you is: why on earth would you want a remote to stick on your wall, much like the teenager in your ad does.

Isn’t a remote mounted on the wall pretty much the same thing as a light switch?

It’s Nov 30th.  You know what that means don’t you?  National Blog Posting Month is now nearly over!  I hope all of you had a great time blogging this month.

On my last post of the month, I’ll leave you with a deliciously fancy new video by the White Stripes.

A letter to the Blogger Who Tagged Me

Dear Random Blogger,

You have tagged me, and so I must comply. I will give my readers seven random facts about me and then randomly tag 7 more people in order to keep the chain going…..

1. I only drink Starbucks coffee. And I will only drink Italian blend or Sumatra. I like my coffee to kick me in the ass and if I sound like a uber-pretentious ass by declaring my love for Starbucks coffee, then so be it.

2. My cat’s name is Steak. I had my cat for 6 months and couldn’t come up with a good name for him. Then I met my current boyfriend and he made some joke about my cat being a no-name-cat, just like no-name-steaks and the name Steak stuck.

3. I love Michael McDonald. My mother made me listen to his music frequently as a child. And Air Supply. I had to hear a lot of Air Supply.

4. The boy and I just developed a new premise for a video short: Nappy Headed Toe vs. The White Onion Supremacist. The nappy headed toe is a Brazil Nut. Is that too controversial? Good.

5. My favorite movies are: Wet Hot American Summer, Anchorman: the Legend Of Ron Burgandy and Shaun of the Dead. My favorite TV shows are: Degrassi: The Next Generation, Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Psych. My favorite albums are: Tom Waits: Used Songs, Band of Horses: Cease To Begin and Eagles Of Death Metal: Death By Sexy.

6. Short funny guys with facial hair will always turn me on.

7. I’m freakishly obsessed with nearly every show that VH1 puts out. And it’s making me even more stupider…..
